A key element of this expansion is a new and dynamic operation at São Paulo’s Congonhas Airport. Recognizing the massive potential for leisure travel from this central hub, Azul is re-allocating its resources by converting 45% of its corporate flights to serve leisure destinations. This smart pivot will introduce new routes from Congonhas to popular tourist locales like Foz do Iguaçu, Navegantes, Ilhéus, and Salvador, offering a wider array of direct flight options for vacationers starting their journey in São Paulo.

The Northeastern region of Brazil is a primary focus of this strategic push. With its stunning coastlines and rich cultural heritage, the Northeast is a perennial favorite for summer getaways. To meet this demand, Azul is bolstering its flight schedules to seven airports in the region.
